What is Candid?

Candid is a way for you to voice your opinion about specific topics, without having your ideas linked to your personal information. Social media is a great way to share and view content from your friends. It's not always to best place to brag about your new orca-skin coat. Forgot to rename framework-res.apk after I themed

Yeah um I was changing some things in framework-res.apk and I forgot to change it back and now my phone just stays on the boot animation.
I have a rooted Sony Xperia m5 and I would like to know is there anyway that I can somehow access the phones folders while its in this state so I can rename it or just something to get it going again without losing all of my data because I have something kind of important on it. Any help is appreciated

Fixing up Custom ROM Magisk!! Working but APN not sticking, pokego confirmed working!

So with some messing around on supersu I came across a setting I didn't notice before, I can't remember what it is and am using the phh SuperSU now which doesn't have the option if someone can take a screen shot of all the settings I could tell you, only thing keeping me from making some kind of guide... Unless someone else found a way. But I can now play pokemon go! Although now that I got it I don't really feel like playing cuz my APN won't stick if someone could help me with this too. I can give every detail step by step on how to get magisk without getting secureboot fail red and blue lights, I only need to know what that setting was. Plus would appreciate help with the APN it only started acting up after I flashed magisk, so this could be a problem for more than just me. I can get others to where I'm at as well and they can help debug? I'm not good at debugging...

Moving from Windows to Linux

Hi,
I'm considering moving ftom Windows to Linux and i want to know if there are any alternative of the tools we used to bring the life to our Zen like xFSTK, fastboot, adb, Asus adb driver.

Why aren't the osprey's ROMs being built for ARM64?

The Moto G3 has a Cortex-A53 processor, which is ARMv8 64-bit. So why are all the ROMs and kernels being built for ARMv7, effectively wasting features our phone's hardware supports?

Do i need a 16-digit code, or can i unlock it somehow?
Every time i unlock it, it automatically wipes data/factory default.
Maybe i don't know via flash tools.

Wonky Touch while charging

Hi,
I am facing an issue with my x play, the issue is when I charge it using Moto Turbo Charger & try to use it while charging, touch does not work properly like when I swipe to close a recent app it usually opens the app & when i try to open notification bar it takes 2-3 swipes to open it. I do not face this issue when I use a slow stock charger as well as when my phone is not charging. :confused:

I have also removed tempered glass & tried the same with another stock turbo charger but the issue persists :confused:

Slower and slower -> trimming -> does not work?

I rooted the P7 and installed Trimmer (ftrim) because I was hoping to speed up the phone storage as it is progressively running slower and slower.
Trimmer runs just fine (asking for root ofc), but every time it says the same amount of data (A LOT) is trimmed on the partitions, so I think trimming never happens for real.
Has anyone faced the same, both in terms of phone storage getting progressively slower and trying to trim it?

A case that does it all?

Hello Everyone,

New Note 4 user here, (yeah sounds strange upgrading from the note 3 finally, but samsungs gone full potato) and like any other purchase, the hunt for cases is on. I have scoured the internet/ebay/threads for possible solutions to my dilemma and haven't found anything, so I figure its a good time to ask. With my N3 I had the Seidio Dilex Extended battery case with the belt clip holster. This was an amazing combo and accounted for 99% of my needs, minus the stupid negative incline when the phone was flat on its back, due to the kickstand bulge.

Anyways, I am having a hell of a hard time finding extended battery cases that have a kickstand, or have the plastic belt clip holsters for that matter. Essentially it looks like its the Zerolemon and thats it for holster combos, or if I want an integrated kickstand, its the mugen, for outrageous pricing.

I had originally hoped that I'd be able to reuse the same case and such from my n3 with some modifications, since these two phones are very close in size. Well that got quickly abandoned, but there was still the possibility of using the seidio case and cover/holster since they appeared to be the same dimensions. Wrong again.

The sides of the case have much steeper angle coming out from the phone on the bottom and top, but could possibly be adjusted depending on how or if I can rework the holster.

I have found a temporary starting point to try and reclaim some of the utility I had with my N3 with a few random pieces from amazon.
Anker has been out of stock for a while, unless you want to pay scalper prices on ebay, so I figured I'd give Kranich a whirl for the $25 they asked for 6400mah battery and the plastic textured back panel.
Next I picked up a generic tpu honeycomb case (hopefully this is better than the plastic crap I had on my SIII) for $10 http://ift.tt/1Ai8jrQ
and lastly found a neat little gadget for another $10, a magnetic kickstand with adhesive. http://ift.tt/1Ai8jrQ

My plan should it go well, is to try and either cut a loop in the tpu case and secure the kickstand to the plastic backing itself, or to the tpu on the outside if thats not possible. Either way, ill make sure to correct the confusing mistake seidio made by putting the kickstand on the bottom of the phone and having it lay with the bottom of the phone slightly elevated instead of flat.

This should get me back to at least the core level of performance that the seidio case I had before offered, with a little less protection I think.

The last problem however, is the belt holster (or whatever you want to call it). Again, not many options, so I am looking at modifying my existing seidio holster to fit my N4 or possibly getting an otterbox holster and trying to work with that. You know, interestingly enough, I figured Alibaba would be swarming with weird stuff like that, and I really didn't see anything different

If anyone has any bright ideas, I'd love to hear it. Or for that matter any other cool suggestions for gear.

Few days ago I came across some videos of some popular mobile online games. In this game the user changed the values of the game states (Coins, Gold, HP etc.).

I found out he might use Game Killer, GameCIH or Game Guardian, but I also saw that it is not possible to change gamestats in online games, because they are server-sided.

What app/software did he use to change the values?

I'm using Remix OS on my computer for about a month now, i enjoy playing games, exploring new app, but one day i went to play store pressed download on an app then it suddenly closed, i went to chrome o download the app but as soon as i clicked the download icon it closed, i tried downloading other apps from play store or online as apk. files but the app force closes, i went to system update and clicked download on 3.0.205 and it closed again, please do something about this Jide as i love Remix OS and made many of my friends install but now I'm feeling bad because of whats happening, if you could tell me what to do just reply to this or send me an email to pranavpalliyil@gmail.com

[Q] xt1063 Permanent wakelock after unplugging from AC

My Moto G 2 never enters in deep sleep when I unplug it from wall charger..
Better Battery Stats shows PowerManagerService.Display in Kernel Wakelock is the reason..
I'm not 100% sure, but wakelock may disappear after powering device off and on (NOT rebooting) or clearing cache partition in recovery.. I can live with it, but I prefer not to
I'm using a custom kernel because ROM's kernel did not hotplug processor cores, but wakelock issue persisted on both kernels

Anyone else having this issue?

Cannot remove apps from Device Administrators

While I'm in device administrators section, when I try to remove any app from Device Administrators Settings app just restarts



I want to uninstall AppLock and the uninstall button is disabled as its a part of device administrator

Is someone else facing this kind of issue and also what is the fix for this ?

back and menu auto backing out from everything

Not sure what to do but I have a problem where my soft back and menu keys auto exit everything i try to do. I cant do squat not even send a text or make a phone call and it is getting very irritating. Is there i can do? i have tried a hard reset and cache wipe and a safe mood reset but it still does the same thing...is there a way to switch out ONLY the flex cable that has the soft keys and home button?

unable to flash custom roms. all roms get stuck@boot screen.

I was able to flash custom roms(CM,AICP,etc), but not anymore.

flashed the vanilla FW via batch file(5.1.1 xt1575), cannot ota to 6.0(fails.).

trying to flash CM13? No dice. always gets stuck on the alien screen. even after 30 minutes. any idea?

LG G3 soft bricked!! flashed wrong firmware

Heloo everone i am from INDIA
recently i purchased and refurbished lg lg3 within setting i could se it was D855 but on body it was D850
so i thoguhts its D855 because software it was running was D855 but then i flashed D855 firmware to update it and it is soft bricked i direct goes to download mode and nothing works
I took it to a shop he tried sevelar firmware at once i got it boot up but no camera wifi no modem, so it was not the correct one,

So is thier a way i can get it working?
How could i figure it is sprint at&t or verzion??? because it was an cdma set,
Cm13 or stock rom anything could work for me

Galaxy Note 5 Android OS Rapid Battery Draining Problem

Hello All,
I am new to xda forum, this is my first thread. I am having a serious battery draining problem with my new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Duos (SM-N9208) running Android 6.0.1. My phone's Android OS is draining a lot of power during idle hours. After a full charge I put my phone into sleep mode closing every apps that can run in background as well as turning of WiFi, Bluetooth, Data Connection, NFC etc. But after around 4 hours when I turn the phone on my battery level dropped to 65% from 100%. From the battery usage screen I found that during this 4 hours Android OS has consumed 62% of the battery. I am totally surprised to see this. I have no game installed on my phone as well as I use a few basic apps like Facebook, Messenger etc. I have no idea what's going on with my phones battery in sleep mode. I have attached some screenshots from the battery usage screen which might help you to understand the issue. I am badly looking for a permanent solution to this problem since I can't go anywhere without a power bank with the phone to keep it running. Please help me out of this problem. Any kind of suggestions, tips or tricks are welcomed.

What about things to do AFTER root?

So, the step by step procedures for rooting and unrooting are great, but kinda leaves me hanging. I've heard it stressed that you have to tighten down on security... what about installing a custom..like cyanogen? Root is good but you can't stop there, right? What security to install? How can I avoid updates from MM, or is it even possible? How to get max benefit from root, are there apps that most will Immediately install either because they are just that cool or because you need to to protect your phone? Thx!

Lenovo a6000 Root and install MIUI 8 failed

Hi All,

I am very new to this forum, My lenovo a6000 is not starting-up (start up screen is coming, thats all).
Issue:
i tried to install new rom in my lenovo a6000. I root my mobile using Minimal ADB and Fastboot & then i wipe my system using TWRP.
While installing new ROM(MiUI.zip) it is not showing anything, just redirecting to my TWRP main screen.

Please help me to fix this. Thanks in advance.

unlocked phone , mobile hotspot authentication

I have my att phone unlocked when I run mobile hotspot it says authentication error. other people that use this network say their phone doesn't ask for authentication. phone is unrooted and so is the one that works. no I don't want to use foxfi to usb tether.

Downgrade to lollipop!!

hay guys,

i am in a bit of a trouble as after waiting for a long time for MM to be released for honor 5x in my country Pakistan but there wasn't any thing to hope for so i decided to flash manually and choose a MM file but when i put the update.app in dload folder and attempted to force flash it came back with update failed error after some reading on xda and other forums i found out that the update package was not of my region, it was European with with Denmark association. so i changed my region to mts/by (Belarus) and modified the custom.bin file in accord thinking that i would change the region back to Pakistan after up-gradation (poor me :( ). the update process then went smoothly and my 5x rebooted but right after that some thing strange happened.

the boot screen went green with red and blue boxes and i was frightened that i might bricked my device but after some time it shows the honor logo and setup process started.

secondly my sim card seemed to be not registered and required puk code. i dismissed the message and went on with the process. now my sim is not registering with the network.

also there is a massive battery drain even i didn't install any app.

the overall look and feel is not changed very much and also the performance is laggy.

Thing is that now i wanted to downgrade it to lollipop. and totally clueless what to do here.
i tried (Honor 5X_Firmware_KIW-L21_Android 5.1_EMUI 3.1_C432B140_United Kingdom_Channel-Others ) by putting update.app and force flashing it but the update got stuck a 5% and after 10 to 15 minutes it restarts.

please help me out, i am totally confused here :confused:

Edit: my device model is KIW-L21 but after upgradation to MM it changed to KIW-AL10.

Build number is KIW-L21C432B330

d800 wierd problem

hi guys i have strange problem with my d800 battery. android os and cell standby are using almost 65% battery with no use.i have airplan mode on and no wifi connected. all google unnecessary services are stoped. tried to reset but no avail. wakelock detector shows RILJ is causing wakes. but i dont know what is this .

a strange thing is that on d800 baseband/imei are unknown but when i install ls980 stock tot on it baseband/imei apear but meid/esn unknown and on ls980 rom battery issue also resolves. i have trippal checked that it is d800(checked from mobo)

any suggestions would be apriciated .sory for bad english

Security for windows phone app

I am developing an enterprise application for my client. Now client has demanded to apply security to my code like obfuscation of the code so that when hacker got .xap file and tries to decompile it, code should be displayed in unreadable format like proguard in android.
I have tried may things like "preemptive dotfuscator and analytics" option from "tools" in visual studio. I have applied process successfully but after checking decompilation output. code was still in readable format . it has converted needless things like giving integer value to static constants fields .
I want to know exact steps for obfuscation, i don't want theory about it as there is plenty of theory available on microsoft developer website.

Is it safe to downgrade after 6.0.1 update

Hi
Like so many other users have been reporting, I am having terrible battery performance after MM update. With the bootloader locked now after MM update, Is it safe to downgrdade to LP. I have been searching but i haven't found a clear answer yet.
My Model is SM-N910T 6.0.1, Baseband N910TUVS2EPG2 and Build No. MMB29M.N910TUVS2EPG2 .
Can someone point me in the right direction, method, guide so I can downgrade, Root and may be install a Custom ROM

Help to install FM Radio APK from another model

Hello to all,

I have the APK of FM Radio of LG model that I want to install in an Zenfone 2 ZE500KL and in Samsung S6 since doesn´t have FM Radio APP.

I tried to installed allowing installation of APKs from unknown sources. I receive the message that the APP was not installed, but I see the icon in APPs but the APP doesn´t run.

I see somewhere that I need to copy the APK in system/app folder, but when I try to do this I received not permission or Read-Only directory message.

I need to copy to system/app to be able to run it? if yes how can I do it? I need to root/flash the phones?

I´m new for this of rooting/flashing and hope someone could help me.

Serious Battery Drain after flashing stock ROM

My S6 Edge Plus has had good battery life. I flashed a Note 7 ROM onto it but because of some bugs I decided to flash the latest stock Samsung ROM for my phone from Sammobile on the device. After doing this, I've been experiencing significant battery drain for no reason.



That above was from last night when I had aeroplane mode on, although I was using a sleep tracking app it doesn't usually use that much battery. Starting at 100% before I went to sleep I'm now down to 40% in the morning. This battery drain isn't just at night, but all the time. It appears that Android OS is using the most battery with 48% usage as seen in the image.

Has anyone else had any similar issues? If so how did you fix it? Thanks.

Bluetooth blues

Hello all.

I am having some bluetooth connectivity problem with my moto g 4 US xt1625 Retus channel (non amazon version) stock everything.

Basically the connection to my smartwatch is unstable and keeps dropping on and off.

Normally I would be blaming the smartwatch for this BUT it connects absolutely perfectly to my moto G2 (cyanogenmod 14) without any hint of misbehavior


I've already tried;


Forgetting and re-pairing device (also rebooting phone before repairing)

Factory resetting watch

clearing app data and cache of system bluetooth apps ("bluetooth share" and "bluetooth MIDI")

Disabling 4G (sometimes interferes apparently)

Disabling wifi

Running phone in safe mode.


I also reconnected my smartwatch to my old moto G 2 after trying all these things and it still works perfectly.

Old moto G2 had blutooth 4.0 LE and this moto G4 has bluetooth 4.2 LE which would offer no comparability issues.

Has anyone had any similar problems with their bluetooth?

Hi all,

Having a few issues with my main board in my S7 edge and I'm going to get it serviced by Samsung as I've been told they will likely replace the board.
Doespecially anyone know if they replace the board do you always get a new IMEI number as I'll have to inform my insurance company?
Also, I have cracked the rear glass but obviously that will need to be replaced but will I be charged for that as I would have just left it !

1. Create a Matrix Effect custom View

First, we define the variables for the Matrix Effect with the size of the code, the size of a column, the position of the bottom text for each column and then the caracters that will be used for the code. Note that you can put the caracters you want here or why not a custom font.

In the constructor, we initialize the paint objects. To get view width and height, we override the onSizeChanged method of the View. We initialize the position of the first caracter for each column. We use a random position between the top of the screen and the middle of the screen.

Then, we define a draw text method used to draw a random caracter for each column at the position indicated by txtPosByColumn variable.

The drawCanvas method is used to draw the background of our view and then the code.

Finally, we override the onDraw method of our custom view to call the drawCanvas method and invalidate the view to force a redraw. With that call, the Matrix Effect could progress from top to bottom in infinite mode. Note that it is not the most optimized way to manage a Matrix Effect, but for a tutorial it's sufficient.

2. Define the MatrixEffect View on the Layout

Now, we can define the MatrixEffect View on the layout of the Main Activity.

In earlier android versions it was easy:

Overall Reddish/Pinkish tint on display

Hello everyone,

I purchased this phone (new) few days back, and after using it for a day, i have observed that this phone has overall reddish or pinkish tint on the display. Is this normal?

I have searched a lot about this issue, and what i found, people have talked about two types of displays, one with yellowish/warm colors and other with blueish colors.

My phone doesnt have yellowish tint, but it has reddish tint overall, which is more prominent in low brightness and also when comparing displays with my nexus 4. Is this normal with every lg g4, that this phone has more reddish color than bluish (on cooler displays).

Help me figure out my batterydrain. H850

I get at best just below 3% screen off batterydrain. Tried diffrent roms etc. Nothing really makes any big diffrence. This night I did a test. Was on airplanemode and wifi on(I think, forgot). Just to test if the drain hade anything to do with my signal. But it was the same as always, like 3%drain/hour.
Posting some screenshots, got a bugreport from batteryhistorian.
I hope some smartass can help me figure out or at least help my look if somethings seems odd.
It's driving me insane this drain.
From what I understand it's not some app. Phone Inactive has most %(79)
Let me know if something seems strange.
Or tips what I should do. Theres no problem wiping everything start from scratch.

RT-I9195 Bootloop

Hi,
I've got a problem with a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9195): When I turn the phone on, it just goes zu the Samsung-logo and stays there for some seconds. After about 10 seconds it gets dark again, vibrates twice an reboots.

If I boot in recovery mode, I get the logo as well an a notice in the upper left corner:

10 seconds later, it goes as mentoined above => So I cant' get into recovery mode.

If I boot into download mode, I get the following notice and download mode works (of course I get the "do you really want to go to download mode ....?" question):

I've used ODIN to flash I9195XXUCOL2_I9195VIACOI1_I9195XXUCOL2_HOME.tar.md 5 . (Battery was charged fully). The download from my PC to the phone worked (as ODIN said), it started to reboot, but there wasn't the typical green Android-Person, that shows normally with installations. It just rebooted and got stuck in the procedure as mentioned above.

Later I flashed a TWRP (openrecovery-twrp-3.0.2-1-serranoltexx-STABLE.tar.md5.rar, unzipped) via ODIN with the same result (the flashing just took 1-2 seconds, pretty fast, I think?).

Do you have an idea, what I could do?

I've read about ROMS, that have 3 parts. Could that help? Where can I get such a ROM for my phone?

[HELP] D855 Doesn't show download mode & Doesn't flash

Greetings
So now I have completed two months of trials trying to fix this thing. I figured it's time to post something.
I have an LG G3 D855 32GB GCC (As it says on the box). The device was not booting so I tried removing the battery for a couple of minutes and putting it back. It worked for a while but now it's dead. I changed the battery and it's still the same thing.
I searched around and found people suggesting flashing the TOT file. So I went to download mode (it used to go there :( ) tried flashing and I got an error. I don't recall the error to be honest.
Now the device won't boot and won't show the download mode screen. However, it gets recognized as "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port".
I tried the KDZ method and it doesn't work. The TOT method gives me the errors below:

onto the M8S II, unfortunately the M8S images are not for M8S II... -.-

I flashed via "Backup&Restore" and got an error and the box stays black after reboot. I wanted to flash a bootable with the Bootcard Maker, but couldn't find an official image with the u-boot.bin. Can someone tell where to get it? Now I'm waiting for an USB-A -> USB-A cable to use the USB Burning Tool.

Is my procedure correct so far? What also could I try?

Bricked Astro Tab A375 [AStar-IBT Android 5.1.1]

My tablet hangs at boot after deleting the KingRoot app and attempting switch to SuperSU. The recovery was supposed to install a new superuser binary, but it failed and rebooted automatically. How do I fix this problem? Does it require a firmware reinstall? A second attempt at SuperSU installation? Or just a factory reset?

My Knox/Secure Folder w/ Policy Manager

So my company uses Google Apps for work. If i add my work gapps account to my note 7 it requires me to also install the policy manager which in turn forces my device to meet several criteria such as device encryption among several other things. Currently I use NINE (Exchange/GApps) email client that only encrypts the NINE sandbox so to speak.

My question is, if I add my work gapps account will it encrypt the whole device for just the sandboxed space used by Secure Folder etc?

Battery life Question for Note 7 owners who had the Note 5

For those of you who upgraded to the Note 7 coming from a Note 5, how does the battery life compare in real world usage? :confused:

I know on paper, its a 16% increase, but is it a noticeable improvement in day to day use?
Do the higher specs and the always on actually cancel out the increase in battery capacity so that the typical battery life is roughly the same as what you experienced with the Note 5?
I've tried reading reviews and scoured through youtube reviews of the Note 7 but could not get much on this particular subject.

BeforeNS.pcm

Please I need help..
After installing Movees Rom v6 (clean install) and reinstalling all the SAME apps that I had before I noticed that in my sdcard are autowriting a lot of files with the name XXXXX_beforeNS.pcm and XXXXX_afterNS.pcm (where Xxxxx are a serie of random numbers i.e. 547900132224_beforeNS.pcm ).
There are a lot of this files (with random dimensions) and even if I delete them they keep on appearing.
I can't really understand what is causing this and is driving me crazy.
Could you please help me?

small thing I noticed

I noticed that depending on which thread you get your engeneering bootloader, the phone is either really stable or extremely unstable. The first time I rooted It was stable, second time not so much, 100th time(lol) it's really stable and I was even able to add xposed without issues(the first time and the most recent are both the best root experiences I've had on this phone

I can't access my files on my SD card after marshmallow update?

have a AT&T galaxy note 4 which recently updated to 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

My phone reads that the SD card is in there, and all the file directories are there but when I try to open or view them it'll tell me I can't open/view the file. My music player still reads all the music just can't play them, ("could not play this track") or my gallery still has all the photos but can't display them


The phone is not rooted but is encrypted along with the SD card. I tried decrypting it but it didn't do anything, along with taking out the SD card, cleaning it, ect.

It seems though I can add data to the card and it will save new data to the card.

What can I do to fix or recover my data? thanks.

Best USB-C hub foe Oneplus 3?

Evening all :)

I'm planning on building my own dock for my OP3 to sit on my nightstand and charge at night. The goal of the dock is to charge the phone, but also have two or three USB ports for backing up photos and such during the nighttime hours, as well as an Ethernet adapter so that my phone has a wired network connection as well.

So I guess my question is, are there any powered USB Type-C hubs out there that fit this criteria? Again, it needs to:
--Charge my OP3 via USB C
--Ethernet adaptor
--Two or three USB ports for expanded storage.

I've considered using a Raspberry Pi for this, but I wanted to see if there was anything else first before I dove in to the project.

Recovering photos from cracked phone

I have a Galaxy S5 that belongs to my brother which has a cracked screen. It powers on fine and recently factory resetting itself but can't see the screen. I'm trying to recover photos from the device of my brothers son during the first year of his life. The photos are very important to him and I'm trying my best to recover them.

I'm using MobileEdit Forensics and other recovery software but having problems connecting to the device. I'm thinking it's because of USB debugging isn't enabled. Is there a command of the line code I can run to enable it?

Would replacing the screen be any benefit to me? Am I taking the right approach?

Where is the 128GB VERSION of Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra?

Hi everyone! Since the release of Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, there has been no news or stock availability on any of the sellers' websites or tech blogs concerning the 128GB ROM version? I have seen the 32GB and 64GB ROM versions on sale but nothing on the 128GB ROM version.

TWRP cant mount encrypted partition in recent CM13 builds ?

Hi guys, i've just enabled encryption using a recent official build of CM13 for the i9506 - it works great! but TWRP cant mount the encrypted partition, it tries to but when I enter my password it just says wrong password.

Can anybody else test an encrypted i9506 with TWRP 3.0.2.0 and CM13 ?

Maybe something changed in Android 6.0.1 and TWRP no longer supports encryption methods ?

This is a problem because I need to use TWRP to install CM13 updates, if it cant mount my partitions I cant write updates. Unless somebody knows an alternate method ???

must be on rooted lollipop firmware with flash fire busybox and supersu installed and all updated
place bok4 firmware on your device open flashfire

then select only system and then click checkmark
then click reboot and add preserve recovery then click checkmark

if boot hangs boot to recovery and wipe data and cache

My Oukitel k6000pro

I buy a new oukitel k6000 pro and want to root it. By mistake i root wrong then i found the correct rom for it and flash it every thing went normal but invalid IMEI number, I tried almost every method available on net to fix it but no result. i root the device try with MTKdroid no result with SN writer give error Enter in meta mode failed, IMEI changer in mobile , Mobile uncle with IMEI.bak , I went to engineering mod but in connectivity tab i have no option available for CDS information so what should i do please help me.

LG G2 D801 shows up as LGD500BK in LG Mobile Support Tool!

This is a bit crazy. I dropped my LG G2 TMO D801BK and bought a replacement. Now, when I connect to LG Mobile Support tool the old phone shows as an LGD801BK but the newer one shows up as a LGD500BK.

The new phone came stock with 4.2.2 and then a series of upgrades from TMO appeared. It gets as far as D80130a and when D80130b shows up it fails in the update, reboots, and Google Play Services keep halting and almost all the other apps don't work.

My old LG G2 is now sitting at D80130c and works fine except for the cracked screen.

Is there anyway to just copy everything off the old phone onto the new one ROM and all or fix the newer phone to identify properly? I've noticed that the new phone IMEI in the rom is different from the one inside the case... any thoughts?

Positioning the rectangle in klwp

after adding a overlap group when i try to insert the objects with a position anchor set as 'top'. my rectangle limits its position to a certain level.

Gapps not working.

I just installed resurrection remix rom after using cm 13. Resurrection remix booted up with no problems, when i installed the Gapps package, i booted my phone and it said google play services has stopped, setup wizard has stopped. I can't get past this screen. I tried clearing cache in twrp with no success. I've tried other gapps variants but they say the same. There is no error when installing them either but once my phone boots up i got those messages. please help!!

I am a big fan of Motorola products. I prebooked Moto X Style on the very moment it's pre-booking window opened on flipkart.

It is a 2015 flagship of motorola. We have very high expectations from it. We were happy to see Marshmallow update rolling out for our device very soon after its release.

Currently in India RJio is occupying the market with its free 4G and VoLTE services. But unfortunately on our Moto X Style RJio internet disconnects very frequently and and we are unable to surf internet. Also there is no VoLTE support.

We were shocked when we heard that Moto X Play received VoLTE update in May 2016. However your flagship device of 2015 didn't receive the update.

We didn't said anything earlier because we were hoping that VoLTE update will roll out soon for Moto X Style too. But no it didn't.

We love Motorola devices but if you don't provide updates and support on your flagship devices in long run then what's the point of buying such devices.

Please look into this matter.

PS: Every smartphone manufacturer nowadays including Motorola and Lenovo is providing smartphones with VoLTE support even with price tag below Rs. 10000.

Considering on purchasing the nextbit robin

So Im thinking on purchasing this on Amazon ads it's basically cheap. But my questions are how is the phone doing on a day to day usage? Cyanogenmod 13 no longer boots (but stock does)

This just started a couple days ago. I rebooted the phone after SuperSU updated its binary, and the phone would not boot past the "starting apps" screen. I've tried everything I can think of - disabling systemless root and Xposed, upgrading CM 13, downgrading it, wiping everything and doing a fresh install, restoring stock 20i with TWRP and reinstalling CM... nothing works. It either hangs on the boot animation or the "starting apps" screen. I finally managed to get stock 20o loaded with the KDZ method and everything seems to work, but I would really like to have CM back. Can anyone help?

Nexus 6P - Bootloop and cannot enter recovery mode

A couple of days ago my Nexus 6P suddenly rebooted while in normal use. Now it is stuck in a bootloop ("Please lock the bootloader"-screen -> White "Google" logo -> brief black screen -> repeat).

The device is unlocked, and I am able to enter fastboot mode. Flashing partitions is possible, but I am NOT able to enter recovery. When selecting "Recovery mode" from the menu, the device just goes into the same bootloop. I tried to flash and boot different recovery images (Stock, CM, TWRP) without success. The bootloader and fastboot appear to working normally otherwise.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

possible brickage

i attempted to unlock bootloader on my wife's old HTC M7 (Australian/Vodafone), i was able to unlock the bootloader, but had to do some serious trial and error to get a custom recovery installed, eventually got an older twrp loaded, but the phone just refused to boot into recovery.
i then relocked the bootloader (no S-OFF), and when i try and unlock he bootloader now, the phone attempts to boot into the recovery, and is failing...
i've been trying to find an RUU from somewhere, just to blat the phone back to an old state, and try again.
are there RUUs available anywhere? i dont' care if its not for the local carrier, i just want to get a basic android rom on the thing.
However, im curious if i need to s-off to do this (wasnt the case with my previous HTC)
help!

3. reboot and press Center, Vol Down and Enter (download mode) and flash BETA-SuperSU-v2.74-2-20160519174328.zip this will take times, it will shows that it updating with green background, just wait again until it will return to main screen. *i swear just wait until it returns to the main screen*
4. reboot and press Center, Vol Down and Enter (download mode) and flash xposed-v86.0-sdk22-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160709.zip then it will reboot again, it will take longer *or not* wait until it return to main screen.
5. then install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk

Voila! you have rooted with TWRP recovery and installed xposed framework. oh by the way if your looking for effective adblocker for xposed google pl.cinek.adblocker-1.8-free-www.kekaku.com.apk the most effective adblocker had been created!

Received replacement N7 via Fedex, protocol to return old N7?

I received my new N7 Thursday evening to replace my original N7. I have received no instructions to return the old N7, when I finally was able to get VZ to find a way to ship me a replacement N7 I asked about how they wanted me to return the old one. They didn't have an answer and didn't even seem to care if I did or not, the question was breezed over basically. So upon receiving my new N7 I expected some kind of instructions on returning the old one. But there is none - no return box, no return label, no return instructions. I am wondering if VZ is actually going to ask for the old phone back at all? One would think that they would contact me somehow about this. Anyone else experience this same thing? It seems very odd, I cannot think I am the only person this has happened to.

Factory Reset Protection (FRP) removal or bypass possible still?

My sister-in-law just got a new S7 from Verizon about a month ago. She setup the thumbprint and had some issues and apparently verizon were the ones who had set up her gmail account so she couldn't remember the password. Next thing you know, she's tried 15 times and her phone factory reset. Swell. But she still couldn't remember the password so she managed to actually reset it. Uh oh - now - if my reading is correct, there is a 72 hour lock on the phone since the password was reset.

So, I figured I try the method from rootjunky. Doesn't seem to work - although I checked in the recovery mode screen and it says she's on PG5. Should the rootjunky method work on this version?

Or is it possible to downgrade to an earlier version of 6.01 on this phone and then use the rootjunky method? Or is there something that will prevent me from flashing back to PE1 or so?

I know we could wait the 3 days out but she's visiting from out of town and not having her phone is killing her.

Any help/guidance/links are greatly appreciated.

init.d scripts not working in CM13

Hello. I have a Moto G 2014 (titan) with CM13 and I added a script to bind mount some folders. The thing is that the script is not being executed. I thought the problem would be something related with permissions but they are right. Also, I readed in a thread in CM forums that you had to add "start sysinit" into init.rc. I've done that with that file and even with init.cm.rc (unpacking and repacking boot.img). Still no results. If I execute sysinit manually the script works, so the problem is that sysinit is not being executed on boot. I don't know what to do, please help!

how to fix problem related to odin for flashing android?

i am trying to flash my mobile samsung galaxy s7562 with odin 3.12 . when connect mobile in download mode to pc with cble . it shows that my mobile is added . i tried AP and select the firmware that i had download and start. But it proceed till file analysis. i waited for about 40 minutes many times . but cant install that firmware
and firmware which i have download is official and is of my country and of my mobile's os

Low DPI issues in certain apps

Changed my OP3 DPI to 400 and certain apps acting weird, MX Player huge thumbnails, cant properly crop pictures for DP in Whatsapp and Instagram and so on. Changing to original 480 DPI solves all problem its huge for me, anything to do?:confused: I changed DPI using "OnePlus3-ToolKit-v2.6-By-@ahmed_radaideh"
