Can 801n M7 be used in USA as a phone with a prepaid card?

Just like the title says, I have a question regarding the M7 801n and it is called the international variant, allowing a LTE 4G switch on status bar icon, but does it work in USA? I also see it is s-off. will this help it making transition to US type communication?
any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
