Hi, I have managed to get my 2016 Mazda 3 running with android auto and google play services 9.0.83, but not for long! Google keeps updating the play service back to 9.2.56 (now 9.4.56).
Is there are sure fire way of disabling this damned update, so that GPS stay on 9.0.83? My phone is a S5 running stock firmware (rooted) and i have tried this post creating the root data\app\com.google.android.gms-1.apk and com.google.android.gms-2.apk folders, but it looks like google have nerfed that one. I read that titanium freeze GPS has been nerfed too, but i haven't tried that yet.
For example what if I install a WAY older stock ROM Android V4??
Or is there an AOSP ROM that can help with this?
Phone: S5 G900F, Lollipop, latest apps from stock google play
The phone is an old spare being used PURELY in the car for AA, so it only needs to run Maps/Google Play Services/WIFI
(shared through my main phone)
any advice greatly appreciated...
