Thought I would share my experience so no one else repeats this. I bought a micro usb ethernet device so I can hardwire my nexus player. Connected it to nexus player and it did not work. The ethernet device had an extra power cable for it. Thinking it may need more power, I foolishly connected power cable. Now nexus player doesn't even turn on (powerlight off). I'm afraid I may have shorted the motherboard. I was able to open up nexus player using guitar pick....but don't even know what to do. Spent alot of time tinkering with it too. So sad as I am now left with an oversized hockey puck :( Lesson learned.
