Google partnered with Bose last year to launch the Bose QC 35 II, a pair of noise-canceling headphones with Google Assistant integration. And at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show on Monday, JBL joined the party with its Everest headphones, which also have the Google Assistant.
JBL's new lineup includes the Everest 710GA, 310GA and 110GA, all of which offer slightly different feature sets at slightly different price points. The $249 710GA is an around-ear pair of headphones that last 25 hours on a charge and come with a hard carrying case. The $199 310GA, a pair of on-ear headphones, have a 20-hour battery life and also ship with a carrying case. And the $99 110GA in-ear headphones last eight hours and come with small, medium, and large ear-tips.
All three Everest headphones share a couple of core features in common, though, including Bluetooth 4.1, JBL Pro audio optimization, JBL's ShareMe 2.0 wireless audio feature, and fast charging. That's in addition to the Google Assistant, which lets you control volume, get access to meetings and events, and start music by saying commands like, "Hey Google, tell me about my day" or "Hey Google, play pop music".
Prices for the JBL Everest headphone series range from $100 to $250, and they'll be available at select retailers in spring 2018.
