Android P Developer Preview 1 was released last week for the Pixel 2 and Pixel families. We've gone in depth about all the new features and changes. One of the most noticeable changes is the brand new media controls. Instead of a slider that drops down from the top of the screen, the new volume control pops out from the side.
XDA Senior Member yogi.306 has released an app that brings the new volume control look to any Android 4.0+ device. The app also adds a bunch of customization options for the volume slider. You can put it in different places on the screen or put it in the notification shade if you'd prefer. Don't wait for Android P to get the latest features.
